Lyndsay Maas lives an active, adventurous lifestyle. She strives to fill her free time with fulfilling and enriching activities, often involving nature.

From her home in Santa Barbara, CA, Lyndsay enjoys every chance she has to get out and enjoy local parks, trails, and waterways. Consequently, she is passionate about the environment and ensures she does her part to treat the earth kindly. 

When nice weekends come around, Lyndsay Maas often takes the opportunity to go camping or boating, which is one of her favorite activities. She owns and maintains her own boat, which she drives out to some of California’s nicest lakes whenever she gets the chance. The boat isn’t just for casual cruising, though. Lyndsay is always on the hunt for the best locations for exciting wakeboarding or water skiing sessions. Water sports are one of her favorite pastimes and something she loves to share with her friends and family when she has the opportunity.

Even off the water, Lyndsay Maas keeps busy and active. She is invested in her physical fitness and enjoys trail running, pilates, biking, and other workouts. Additionally, she loves learning how to do new things and maintaining her assets on her own. Lyndsay has taken the time to learn how to DIY many things around her home, maintain her boat and RV, and manage a garden. She is an incredibly determined and driven individual who enjoys the satisfaction of a job well done.

These values and skills serve Lyndsay Maas well not only in her personal life but also in her professional career. She has built a successful career in finance, working in positions that span both the private and public sectors. From managing large budgets to maintaining critical client relationships, Lyndsay puts her all into everything she does. Most recently, she has spent almost ten years working for Santa Barbara City College. From serving as the controller to becoming the Vice President of Business Services, she has done a lot to support and further the college’s mission. She was a critical asset in navigating some major personnel changes and made some instrumental changes to consolidate responsibilities and help teams run more efficiently. 

As of now, Lyndsay Maas works with the City of Santa Barbara as the Assistant Finance Director. With a focus on municipalities and government accounting, Lyndsay is responsible for treasury, investments, revenues, utility billing, cash receipts, and accounts receivable.

Additionally, Lyndsay Maas makes time in her busy schedule to volunteer when possible. For almost two years, she volunteered as the secretary for the Parent-Teacher Association at a local elementary school, where she shared her financial expertise to help advise the board on how to allocate funds. She also helped a local adult co-ed soccer league establish an online presence and more than double in size and participation by formalizing processes and making crucial steps more convenient for players.
